The beauty of having a local butcher is that we have the skill and inclination to produce pretty much anything you could wish for. Unlike supermarkets, whose massive capacity means that they have to provide standardized products, we can offer a highly personalized service.
For example: one of our regular customers recently walked in with a handful of herbs and spices and asked whether we could roll them into a pork roasting joint to make Porchetta for him – a classic Italian dish not often served on British dinner tables.
We were happy to oblige, and Adam was so impressed with the result that he decided to create his own take on the dish. Combining loin with belly pork means that you get the best of the cut without needing to fuss over the cooking, because the fat keeps the whole joint moist and well-basted. It’s been so popular that we’ve now added our homemade Porchetta to our regular product line.
A popular bespoke request is one of our customer favourites, Beef Wellington. We can make them up for special occasions in almost any size you like, and Sarah will add her artistic flair to the presentation of the homemade pastry. If you’d like a particular theme, all you need do is ask and she will work her magic on it!
We are also able to make up products to meet specific dietary requirements. We keep a batch of our own gluten-free sausages in store on a regular basis, but if you’d like a specific product made “free from”, speak to the staff in store and we’ll see what we can do.
